DPD applies efficiency measures in order to offset rising oil prices. In spite of this, for reasons of cost we apply a kerosene surcharge in addition to the diesel surcharge which is standard within the industry for road transport. This surcharge is applied exclusively to air transport.
Diesel surcharge
The surcharge affects all domestic and international road transport operations (DPD CLASSIC, DPD 8:30, DPD 10:00, DPD 12:00, DPD 18:00, DPD PARCELLetter+ and DPD GUARANTEE). The surcharges are indicated separately and are in line with actual market developments. DPD reserves the right to change without notice the data source and reference value for the diesel surcharge and the related basis for the calculation, and to redefine the amount and duration of the surcharge.
Kerosene surcharge
The surcharge exclusively affects DPD EXPRESS parcels which can only be shipped by air, in which kerosene is the fuel instead of diesel. The surcharge is applied to the net cost of the shipment. DPD reserves the right to change the reference value of the kerosene surcharge and the surcharge table without prior notice, and to redefine the amount and duration of the surcharge. The information published here is updated monthly.
