To make sure that your shipping with DPD is trouble-free we've put together all the most important information for you here. If you follow these tips and tricks we'll make sure that your parcels reach the consignee in time and intact.
What you need to keep in mind for your parcel shipping.
Packing instructions: Every parcel must be packed securely so that it is suitable for automated sorting and transport.
Exclusions from shipment: there are some goods we can't transport, such as live animals, weapons and especially valuable goods such as precious metals and gems.

For our own protection and the protection of our customers, there are some goods we cannot store or send. First and foremost these are objects that are classed as hazardous under national and international laws. Also excluded from transport are any items that might represent a danger to people or other goods being transported, on account of their characteristics or their packaging. In accordance with General Business Conditions, the company DPD has a right to check the contents and packing of a consignment in the presence of the sender each time when sending a parcel which is paid in cash. DPD has a right to have a consignment opened by a DPD employee anytime during the transport in the presence of one witness, to write a record on the check of the consignment and close the consignment again.
DPD courier, DPD worker or Pickup point worker shall be obliged to check sender’s identity when taking over the consignment.
DPD courier, DPD worker or Pickup point worker shall be obliged to check the contents of the parcel in the presence of sender to ascertain whether it complies with the DPD’s General Business Conditions. If the contents of the parcel do not meet the General Business Conditions, that parcel shall not be taken over for transport.
