Restrictions on delivery due to extensive flooding

Dear Customers,

Due to the extensive flooding in the western part of the Slovak Republic, and the related poorly or completely impassable roads, despite our efforts, there may be delays in the delivery of parcels or postponement of delivery to another day.

Even in this difficult situation, all our employees and couriers will of course do their best to deliver your parcels safely and on time. However, please understand that the health and safety of all of you, including our employees, couriers and suppliers, remains the most important.

In case the delivery of your parcel is not possible due to force majeure (e.g., floods, consequences of floods, etc.), we will deliver your parcel at the earliest possible opportunity as soon as circumstances permit. We apologize for the inconvenience and hope that you will understand this difficult situation.

Thank you and stay safe!

About DPD

DPD SK is a member of the Geopost group, the largest international parcel delivery network in Europe. It offers a wide portfolio of courier services in Slovakia and to 230 countries worldwide. Thanks to innovative technologies, expert experience, and customer care, DPD is a reliable partner in goods transportation for both senders and recipients.

The Geopost group aims to become the leading accelerator of e-commerce by 2030, while also being the international reference for sustainable delivery. As part of the group's sustainability strategy, DrivingChangeTM, it prioritizes sustainability in all its activities – in relation to its employees, the planet, and communities.

DPD SK actively supports the implementation of DrivingChangeTM at the local level: as the first courier company in Slovakia, it started using zero-emission electric vans specifically designed for urban delivery. In 2024, the fleet includes more than 150 electric vans, with a planned increase to 300 units by 2025. The company's largest depot uses 100% electric energy produced from renewable sources.
