Dear users of DPD services,
as of 1st January 2022, changes in the customs clearance procedure for imports of packages from the United Kingdom came into force. All customs procedures are carried out in France, so all B2B importers must have a French VAT number if they want the parcel to be delivered to Slovenia in the DPD system. Otherwise, the parcels will be returned to the sender automatically.

On 24 December 2020, the new EU-UK Trade and Cooperation Agreement was agreed in principle and has come into force on 1 January 2021.
From 1 January, the trade and movement of goods between the UK and the EU are subject to the new terms and rules outlined in the Agreement. It has been agreed that for many products no import duties have to be paid on both sides.
For our parcel industry, it means that between the UK and the EU:
DPDgroup will maintain operations as usual between the UK and the EU so that trade continues to be as frictionless and smooth as possible.

Exports to the UK - Goods below 135£

When Brexit occurs, from January 4th 2021 there will be a “temporary” suspension of the service Collection Request for all parcels sent to or from the UK, until this service is compatible with customs requirements.
Specifically, the suspension will include all cross-border Collection Requests with UK as requesting BU, it will not be possible to collect parcels in the UK as well as the delivery of such parcels to the UK.

Once Brexit enters into force, the recall service to and from the UK will be suspended.
We follow the guidelines of the project group in charge of Brexit, which means that as of 21 December 2020, we are temporarily suspending the possibility of ordering recalls. Cancellation covers all recalls where the UK is the subscriber, sender or recipient of the package.
In the event that the UK is the country in which the recall is accepted, DPD Slovenia must inform its customers that ordering recalls is no longer possible until further notice. If the customer still orders the recall in the UK, this order will not be automatically blocked via depot.tab in the central database (CDB). DPD Slovenia must ensure that it informs its customers that the order has been suspended.
In cases where the UK is the client of the recall, the parties must be duly notified by the DPD of the UK. Customers cannot choose either the service and cannot choose the UK as the recipient of the package. If the order is placed anyway, the customer will not be automatically notified of the stoppage of the shipment.
