Prohibited Goods in the DPD Romania network

(excluded from collection, sorting, transport and delivery)

A. List of products and substances prohibited for national transportation

1. Postal items which cannot be processed with the usual staff and means available to the supplier (exceeding the above dimensions and weight limits); whose delivery is prohibited by legal provisions; etc .;

2. Postal items having as their object goods of special value, in particular precious metals, genuine jewelery, precious stones, genuine pearls, antiques, works of art, paintings belonging to the national heritage;

3. Postal items relating to counterfeit goods, ADR products, negotiating instruments, money, valuables, original documents, securities, CEC files, promissory notes, bills of exchange, telephone cards or similar certificates of value, identity documents , bank cards;

4. Postal items having as object vouchers and access tickets with a declared value higher than 520 euro / postal item (or equivalent in RON);

5. Postal items having as object furs, carpets, watches, other jewelery and leather goods with a declared value higher than 520 euro / postal item (or equivalent in RON);

6. Postal items having as object perishable goods (products), food (products), medicines;

7. Postal items having as object any other goods with a declared value higher than 5,000 euro / postal item (or equivalent in RON);

8. Postal items whose content and / or external appearance contravene the law;

9. Postal items having as object firearms as defined by the law on firearms in Romania, a country of transit or country of collection or destination, parts / components that make up / are part of the category firearms or weapons disassembled, ammunition for firearms - regardless of type, shape or caliber;

10. Postal items consisting of goods the transport of which is prohibited by legal provisions, or even only on a portion of the route;

11 . Postal items whose packaging bears inscriptions contrary to public policy or morality, as well as postal items consisting of goods contrary to public policy or morals, if deposited unpackaged or in transparent packaging;

12. Postal items with old labels or inscriptions not removed;

13. Postal items which, by the way they are packaged or by the nature of the contents, may cause damage to goods or endanger persons, as well as postal items having as object cigarettes (above the limit imposed by law), live or dead animals, materials for medical or biological examinations, medical waste, narcotics, human or animal remains, body parts or organs;

15. Postal items consisting of goods for which special conditions of carriage are established, by legal administrative, economic, sanitary, veterinary, phytosanitary and other similar provisions, under the conditions provided by these provisions, as DPD is not a legal person authorized for the purpose of provision such services;

B. List of products and substances prohibited for international transportation

1. Medications;

2. Vitamins;

3. Disinfectants and hand sanitizing gels;

4. Shipments containing any form of food, such as dairy and meat products, canned goods, eggs, etc., are not accepted unless the food is properly packaged and has a long shelf life;

5. Lavender oil and other essential oil extracts are prohibited from being shipped. The shipment of lavender water and other diluted products is allowed;

6. Bee honey;

7. Goods belonging to well-known brands, more than one item in a parcel;

8. Leather, carpets, watches, or other jewelry or leather items valued at/above 520 EUR each;

9. Transport of branded goods without the brand owner's permission;

10. Coins, banknotes, foreign currency, securities (stocks and bonds), money transfer orders, vouchers, tickets, phone cards, or similar valuable documents;

11. Precious materials (platinum, gold, silver), processed or unprocessed gemstones, real pearls, unique jewelry, antiques, works of art, or other valuable items;

12. Other items or substances listed in international contracts, as well as items prohibited in the destination country;

13. Religious materials of banned or unregistered sects or organizations;

14. Cultural goods without a license or certificate;

15. Narcotics, drugs, psychotropic and poisonous substances;

16. Doping substances, anabolic steroids, and growth hormones;

17. Weapons, imitation weapons (toys), ammunition, explosives, pyrotechnics, and major weapon components (barrel, breech block, barrel casing, suppressor, etc.);

18. Substances classified as dangerous according to ADR or other applicable agreements/conventions;

19. Perishable goods, live or dead animals, materials for medical or biological examinations, medical waste, human or animal remains, body parts or organs, live plants;

20. Temperature-dependent items or substances;

21. Olive and sunflower oil must be transported with special packaging for bottles;

22. Liquor is prohibited. Up to one bottle containing alcohol is allowed. The bottle must be transported in special packaging for bottles;

23. Bottled wine is permitted only in special packaging boxes for one bottle. Each bottle is a separate shipment. It is not possible to combine multiple boxes into one for a single shipment;

24. Excise goods or tobacco waste/residues, whose possession, import, transport, supply, and commercial sale are prohibited by the Excise Duty and Other Special Taxes Act;

25. Bottled alcoholic beverages with excise bands or labels, where the nominal quantity in liters is different or exceeds the bottle's capacity;

26. Bottled alcoholic beverages without special excise labels or without labels, when mandatory, or with falsified, counterfeit, or expired bands/labels;

27. Bottled alcoholic beverages labeled DUTY FREE;

28. Alcoholic beverages to the countries of Finland, France, Germany, Czech Republic, Greece.

28. Tobacco products without excise bands or labels, when mandatory, or with falsified, counterfeit, or expired bands/labels;

29. Bulk or separate pieces of tobacco products, more than 40 units of open parcels, except for hand-rolled cigars;

30. Tobacco products labeled DUTY FREE;

31. Over 40 pieces of hand-rolled cigarettes, prefabricated from filtered cigarette tubes;

32. Tobacco waste that is not smoking tobacco (pipes or cigarettes);

33. Used excise bands or labels, goods labeled after a repealed model, after the introduction date of the new labeling model;

34. Deliveries consisting of more than one parcels;

35. Deliveries in suitcases, bags, travel bags, or similar are not eligible for transport. The content must be packed in a cardboard box to be accepted for transport.

Items Prohibited for Specific Countries:

  • France – chocolate is prohibited;
  • Sweden – alcohol can only be addressed to a registered customs recipient authorized to receive alcoholic beverages.

International Parcels That Will Not Be Accepted:

  • With transport paid by the recipient or a third party without a contract with DPD;
  • Addressed to a P.O. box;
  • Without a recipient's local email address or phone number;
  • Cash on delivery parcels (except for DPD regional CEE service);
  • Deliveries to prisons.

Important!

  • DPD is empowered to refuse delivery if, after accepting the postal item, DPD discovers a reason for exclusion or if there are good reasons to exclude the postal item from collection, the burden of proof falls in these circumstances DPD.
  • The acceptance for the delivery of the closed postal items, including excluded goods, about the existence of which DPD is not aware, does not represent a waiver of the exclusion from delivery;
  • In addition to any legally constituted liability, the customer will be liable for any direct or indirect damage caused by the goods that are the subject of postal items, which are excluded from acceptance (collection).
