DPD has launched the largest chain of lockers in Portugal, now with 300 units, in locations such as railway stations and shopping centers.
Available for the collection of ecommerce orders, its operation gives the buyer enormous autonomy, allowing you to pick up at the most convenient time for you, 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, for a period of 3 days.
Constituting a real alternative to home delivery, lockers are already part of the European panorama and are now arriving at DPD Portugal, with hundreds of units soon to be reinforced.
Anywhere in Europe, customers don't have to wait hours for their orders. And in the event of a change of plans, it couldn't be easier to change the date, time or location, online or via a smartphone.
Predict, the only service on the market, is an interactive alert to the recipient of the day and time of delivery of your order, who can change the date for up to 5 working days later or choose one of the Pickup points as a new delivery location.
On the day scheduled for receiving the order, the DPD sends a new message to the recipient, indicating the expected time of delivery, within an interval of just 1 hour. It is the 1st time that an express transport company has placed the management of its own order with the e-shopper, who may change the date or place.

Chatbot Maria, the most recent Customer Service Assistant at DPD Portugal, was programmed using a robot factory platform developed by DPDgroup, and has learned in recent months to answer questions such as "where is my parcel", "when will I receive my parcel" or "I would like to change the date or place of delivery".
This chatbot is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to respond accurately and always with a smile to questions from those who will receive parcels through DPD.
