In case of the purchase of alcohol, the sender is responsible for age verification throughout the entire process from purchase to delivery. It is therefore advised to inform your customer at the time of purchase that the customer’s age will be verified by the driver upon delivery by showing a valid ID. In addition, via our Predict service, DPD sends the recipient a notification when the package is delivered. This notification specifically states that the recipient should have ID ready.
