Why do I now have to pay to receive a parcel from United Kingdom and not before?
As the United Kingdom has left the EU, the mutual trade agreements no longer apply. This means that VAT, import duties and administration costs may be payable on parcels you receive from the UK. You have to pay these costs before taking receipt of the parcel, unless your supplier has indicated that it will pay the VAT and/or import duties. VAT and import duties are not payable on shipments worth less than 22 euros. Import duties are not payable on shipments worth between 22 and 150 euros.
