DPD appoints Michel Kerssemakers as CFO DPD Netherlands

Effective March 1, Michel Kerssemakers will join DPD Netherlands as CFO. With this, Kerssemakers makes the move from DHL and succeeds Marc Toebes.

Michel Kerssemakers is no stranger to the logistics industry. For more than 16 years he worked at DHL, where he was Head of Business Controlling within DHL Supply Chain for the last 6 years. Before that he held positions in accountancy, business control and finance. This gives him in-depth and relevant financial experience in transport and logistics. DPD Netherlands is therefore delighted with his arrival. "Michel brings the right experience to contribute to DPD's ambitions. These lie in the areas of international growth, increasing our position when it comes to Out Of Home and sustainability," said Erik Uljee, CEO DPD Netherlands.

For Kerssemakers, that growth ambition is one of the main reasons for making the move to DPD Netherlands. "After 16 years of enjoying working at DHL, I was ready to make a step that would allow me to develop myself further. DPD is a major international player, which is the undisputed No. 1 in European parcel delivery." Kerssemakers is therefore looking forward to building a solid future together with DPD's inspired colleagues. "Every day an energetic group of people is working on the same ambition."

Kerssemakers will use the first few weeks to get to know his team well and identify the financial opportunities and challenges for DPD. "The future of logistics is promising, and I am looking forward to playing an active role in it," he said.
