On the day of collection and the day of delivery, DPD sends SMS notifications to the recipient at the phone number given (designated) by the sender. The text notification contains the consignment number, the amount of COD if any, and the expected time of delivery. A recipient for whom the day of delivery is not convenient may change it to another day, quoting the security code in the notification. Delivery may be postponed up to a maximum of five banking days. On the day of delivery, we send another text notification to the recipient in the early morning giving the expected time of delivery (a one-hour window) so that the recipient knows to within one hour when the DPD courier will arrive. This notification is for information only and does not make the service time-guaranteed, traffic and other sources of delay being natural concomitants of the service. The one-hour window cannot be altered by the recipient.

DPD releases the consignment to the recipient only after payment of the price the customer has specified for the goods. The client bears all risks connected with non-payment or improper payment of COD and DPD may not be held liable for these. COD may be paid in cash or by credit card. Only couriers equipped with card terminals accept credit card payment. In case of credit card payment, the recipient accepts that DPD will send the payment certificate electronically to the e-mail address given by the recipient. The maximum cash amount of COD is HUF 300,000 (three hundred thousand forints) in cash. There is no limit for credit card payment. The charge for the service is payable even if the consignment is not handed over. Money paid in COD is transferred and accounted for once weekly, within seven banking days of collection. The sender is not entitled to interest for this period.

If you send a parcel to a third party country (i.e. outside the European Union, such as Norway, Switzerland, Bosnia and Serbia) using the DPD Classic - Road - Within Europe service, every package has to go through customs regardless of its content or value (except for a document consignment). Using the documents provided by the sender, DPD Hungária Kft. obtains customs documents, export clearance from the EU and import clearance for the destination country.

DPD cannot accept customs handling within the Classic - Road - Within Europe service for products being exported temporarily or sent for repair or replacement. The sender pay the carriage charge, the customs documents issue fees and the customs clearance charge in every case and may not pass them on to the recipient. The invoice to be submitted for customs handling must contain:

• Sender\'s name and address
• Recipient\'s name and address
• Invoice issue date
• Invoice number
• Commercial description of goods (for each type)
• HS code (for each type)
• Weight, number of boxes and unit price (for each type)
• Country of origin (invoice declaration)
• Parity (DAP only)

• Legible signature of handler

The following documents are needed for the customs handling procedure:

• Customs handling authorization (DPD\'s own form)
• Common declaration (DPD\'s own form)
• Original invoices (three or five)

Upon entry, other costs arising under the laws of the destination country (customs, VAT) are paid in accordance with the parity by the recipient. DPD cannot give prior information on these charges, because they depend on the value and type of the product. The recipient may obtain information on these charges from the customs office of the destination country.

DPD collects the package from a domestic address chosen by the customer (not the customer\'s premises) and delivers it to a foreign address designated by the customer. The collection address therefore does not need to correspond to the customer\'s registered address, premises or branch office.

A condition of using the service is a bank account held in the destination country in the currency of that country.

DPD delivers to the recipient a consignment it has collected from the customer only if, in exchange, the recipient enables the DPD courier to collect the package specified by the customer, which package DPD then ships to the customer\'s address. The recipient is obliged to comply with DPD\'s conditions of carriage as provided in the GTC (e.g. packaging, product not excluded from carriage).
