A large part of our donations was directed to people suffering from chronic and malignant diseases or associations that care about their well-being, so we set aside funds to support the work of the Association for Support of People Sick and Suffering, with humor and joy of life "CRVENI NOSOVI klaunovidoktori". We marked the very end of 2020 with donations aimed at the youngest. In December, we gave a donation to the Clinic for Children's Diseases in Zagreb. The donation is primarily aimed at procuring equipment that will ensure better conditions for children in hospital.
We have joined the wave of kindness started by little lion Ivan P. Ivan was born in 2017 as a big, healthy and smiling baby, as he was just that way up to when he was 1.5 years old. However, in a moment, everything turned upside down. After he suddenly fell ill, he underwent numerous tests and was diagnosed with hemophilia. The diagnosis itself and numerous complications left consequences, primarily on motor skills. Recovery is time consuming, but in order to contribute at least a little to make Ivan playful and chatty again like his friends, we decided to donate funds to purchase the necessary rehabilitation equipment.

We have not forgotten about sports, which are extremely important for health prevention! We recognized the effort and exceptional talent of the young tennis player Petra Marčinko and decided to become her sponsor in order to give her an extra wind in her back with this contribution! That is why we are very pleased when we hear the news about her successive successes.
We ourselves tried to stay fit and play sports, so some DPD members joined the virtual UNICEF race "Mliječna staza 2020" where we collected miles of opportunities to raise funds to improve the living conditions of children with disabilities, promote social inclusion and equal rights for every child in Croatia, with early intervention services, sensory integration and education. In addition, we provided free transportation of most of the "start packages" that were handed to race participants.

This year we decided to expand the field of our humanitarian activities, so at the initiative of the technological media house "VIDI-TO" we participated in achieving their goal to equip the classrooms of all Croatian schools with the first Croatian multifunctional development microcomputer. We are of the opinion that the development and education of future staff in the IT industry and the encouragement of entrepreneurship from an early age is extremely important and therefore our donation provided funds for the purchase of microcomputers for students of Stjepan Radić Elementary School, located in Brestovec Orehovički. We equipped their classroom with 20 development microcomputers powered by a powerful 2-core ESP32 processor and a touchscreen TFT display. Our goal was to provide students access to the best technology that supports their learning process and awakens their curiosity for new discoveries that will contribute to society. Thus, the students of this school will have the opportunity to learn the basics of programming and creating creative solutions with the help of digital technologies from the earliest school days.
As a part of our promotion of a healthy life, DPD has decided to support and sponsor the most famous Croatian 3 * 3 basketball tournament Hakl Na Taksiju which took place on 18 and 19 June 2021 in the Park of the 101st Brigade in Gajnice.
In addition to sponsoring the tournament, together with the tournament organizers, we participated in the renovation of the playground to cheer up the residents of the neighbourhood who are also their biggest support. So on the playground you can notice the DPD logo which is painted as a sign of cooperation and support to the organizers.
We additionally supported the commendable tournament with 2 additional workshops for children, and in order not to end there, we cheered the children with small token of appreciation: DPD balloons, chococlates, hula hoops and picture books.
We are extremely proud of the whole story behind the project and of all our employees, friends and associates who came and supported Hakl Na Taksiju.

Once again, we put family first! We believe that the family and the sense of security it provides to the child is necessary from the moment of birth, but also later in life, including hospital treatment. Aware that keeping a child in the hospital is stressful for the whole family, we recognized the need for a donation.
That is why we donated two sofa beds to the Department of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, Endocrinology and Nephrology of the Kantrida Pediatrics Clinic, which will serve parents so that they can stay with their children for 24 hours. This will give the parents of sick children the crumb of peace and comfort they so desperately need in difficult times for them and their families.
