Carbon neutral commitment

Wherever you call home, we only have one Earth. That’s why Geopost is committed to fighting climate change with each and every parcel delivery. We do this by precisely measuring our carbon footprint per parcel, reducing it in any way we can, and offsetting the remaining emissions by funding clean energy projects around the world.
The result is 100% carbon neutral parcel delivery across Europe. All at no extra cost to our customers.

How?

1.3 billion carbon neutral parcels delivered in 2019

-14% reduction in C02 emissions per parcel (vs. 2013)

100% of our transport & buildings energy emission offset in 2019 (1 046 184 tonnes CO2)

An offsetting programme to be proud of

An offsetting programme to be proud of

Approved by the rigorous Verified Carbon Standard (VCS), our offsetting programme focuses on renewables, clean energy and circular economy projects. From wind energy projects in India to the conversion of landfill gas to clean electricity in Brazil, they not only foster sustainability, they improve quality of life for local communities. What’s more, our carbon offsetting is completely voluntary, not tax-exempt and we hold no equity investments in the projects we support.

DPD Croatia has started a new delivery era

We have taken a step closer to fulfilling the vision of green delivery and enriched our fleet with the Nissan e-NV200 XL Voltia electric van. The development of the fleet of electric vehicles of this type is another step forward towards the vision of Geopost, including DPD Croatia, to make parcel delivery more environmentally friendly. New Nissan Voltia in the center of Zagreb. It will deliver to 80-100 addresses a day within a range of about 100 kilometers. In the next two years, we plan to further expand the fleet of electric vehicles - the goal is to have more than 20 electric vehicles by the end of 2022.

DPD Croatia enriched its fleet with 20 new electric vehicles

The development of the fleet of electric vehicles goes in step with the vision of Geopost and DPD Croatia to make parcel delivery environmentally friendly, all-in order to achieve the science-based net-zero goal approved by the Science Based Target initiative by 2040. This year we upgraded our fleet with a total of 20 new electric delivery vehicles. On the streets of Zagreb, Split and Zadar you can see our Opel Vivaro Cargo and Ford E-Transit delivery e-vehicles. The Opel Vivaro Electric provides a range of up to 230 kilometres, while the Ford E-Transit Van L3H2 provides a range of up to 256 km on a single charge.

In addition to the introduction of new electric vans, DPD installed a total of 28 AC and DC charging stations for electric vehicles at its depots throughout Croatia.
