Towards decarbonising our business

DPD France has been committed to reducing its environmental impact for over ten years. Our ambition has evolved from a policy of carbon neutrality since 2012 to a goal of zero net emissions by 2040. This decarbonisation target is aligned with the French National Low Carbon Strategy (SNBC) and validated by the scientific experts of the Science Based Target Initiative (SBTi) on the 1.5° scenario of the Paris Agreement. It covers all the scopes of our carbon footprint (1, 2 and 3) and therefore includes all our partners in our value chain.

Our decarbonisation targets

In the short term

  • Reduce our CO2e emissions per parcel by 30% by 2025 (compared with 2012).

  • This target was achieved in 2023 by reducing our operational emissions per parcel by 36%.

In the medium term

  • Our parent company Geopost aims to reduce our CO2e emissions by 43% in absolute terms by 2030 (compared with 2020). 

In the long-term

  • Achieve Net Zero emissions by 2040.
