How are deliveries going to proceed

Like athletes, we're prepared and we're going to give it our all.
We'll explain everything clearly below.

Zones will be regulated or restricted to traffic in 3 categories

Grey areas

Competition venues

Access to these areas is reserved exclusively for accredited persons or members of the Olympic organisation, as well as spectators holding an access ticket to the Olympic site.

Our delivery drivers will not have access to these areas.

Black areas

SILT protection perimeter

An anti-terrorist protection perimeter (SILT: Sécurité Insécurité et Lutte contre le Terrorisme) will be set up in the immediate vicinity of the Seine before the opening ceremony, from 18 to 26 July;

Our delivery drivers will not have access to this perimeter.

Red areas

Traffic prohibited except by derogation

Motorised traffic is prohibited within these zones, unless exemptions are granted by the Préfecture de Police.

Our delivery drivers will be able to make deliveries to these areas thanks to a fleet of 20 specially installed cargo bikes.

These red zones are temporary, activated 2 hours 30 minutes before the first event of the day and deactivated 1 hour after the last event of the day.

Blue areas

Regulated traffic

The purpose of this restricted traffic zone is to reduce the flow of traffic in order to avoid any nuisance to local residents, by requiring proof of activity or residence.

Our delivery drivers are authorised to make deliveries to these areas by virtue of their activity.

These blue zones are temporary, activated 2.5 hours before the first event of the day and deactivated 1 hour after the last event of the day.

Check out the interactive map

The interactive map below shows hour-by-hour traffic restrictions for the duration of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

  • Click on the "Roads" button in the left-hand menu to activate the traffic zones view.
  • You can then search for a period or an address, and determine whether your shipping or delivery locations are affected.

Olympic lanes will be reserved

185 km of roads around Paris will be reserved for accredited vehicles (transporting athletes, journalists and official delegations), as well as emergency and security vehicles, taxis and VTCs, ambulances and public transport.

Our delivery drivers, like all other road users, will not be able to use these lanes and will have to travel on roads that are likely to be intensely congested.

The lanes will be activated on 15 July and will be present on the following roads:

  • A1 between Roissy Charles de Gaulle and Porte de la Chapelle until 11 September
  • A4 between Collégien and Porte de Bercy until 13 August, then from 30 August to 8 September
  • A12 between Rocquencourt and Montigny le Bretonneux until 13 August, then from 27 August to 8 September
  • A13 between Porte Maillot and Rocquencourt until 13 August, then from 27 August to 8 September
  • The boulevard périphérique, from Porte de Vanves to Porte de Bercy, passing through the north until 13 August, then from 22 August to 11 September
  • The boulevard circulaire (La Défense) until 13 August, then from 22 August to 11 September
  • Certain Paris roads

The government and the Préfecture de Paris publish details of the roads and towns affected on their websites.

Our dedicated action plan

We have put in place an action plan to ensure the continuity of our services:

  • Specific sorting of parcels to better identify and process parcels destined for Olympic zones
  • Adapted out-of-home collection solutions thanks to the Pickup network and our DPD branches, which will have extended opening hours.
  • The addition of more than 25 cargo bikes to our fleet in order to access areas where motorised traffic is restricted
  • Access to the latest information and can, if necessary, pool dedicated spaces to facilitate our delivery activity in the most difficult-to-access areas.

And of course, all our sales and customer service teams are informed and mobilised, with you, to deal with any constraints you may encounter.
