The maximum allowed weight of courier parcels is 31.5 kg. Parcels are transported door-to-door.
The maximum allowed weight of parcels is 31.5 kg, the minimum allowed size is an A5 safety envelope (21 × 14.8 × 0.5 cm). The maximum sum of the longest side and the bottom circumference of a parcel is 3.0 m (2 × height + 2 × width + the longest side); the longest side of the parcel can be up to 1.75 m.

The pallet must allow for a forklift to pick it up from any of its four sides (both forks of the forklift must fit under the pallet and allow safe handling throughout the transport process). Redirection opportunities. If the delivery time is not suitable, the recipient can change the time and place of receipt.

Differences in delivery processes in Finland, Sweden, Norway and Denmark
Parcel deliveries to businesses by DPD Classic
Two attempts will be made to deliver the parcel. If the second attempt fails, the recipient can pick up the parcel at the distribution centre or contact Postnord in Finland and agree on a new delivery time. The parcel will be stored at the distribution centre for seven (7) calendar days. If the client does not pick up the parcel, it will be returned to the sender.
Parcel deliveries to private individuals by DPD Private
Once a parcel sent by the DPD Private service reaches the destination depot in Finland, the recipient will be sent an SMS and/or e-mail (depending on which details are available in the database). The recipient is informed of the date and time frame of the arrival of the parcel and is offered to change the time or mode of delivery if needed (redirection to a pickup point or delivery to an agreed-upon place). If the recipient does not respond, the parcel will be delivered to the address indicated on the package label at the notified time. If delivery fails, the parcel will be sent to the recipient’s nearest MyPack pickup point, where it will be stored for seven (7) calendar days. If the client does not pick up the parcel, it will be returned to the sender.
The recipient’s phone number must be a local number to receive an SMS notification. SMS notifications will not be sent to an Estonian phone number.
Pallet deliveries to businesses by DPD Classic
When pallets are shipped to Finland, one attempt will be made to deliver the goods to the recipient. If the delivery attempt fails, the sender will have to prepare a new package label for a second delivery attempt.

Parcel deliveries to businesses by DPD Classic
One attempt will be made to deliver the parcel by courier. If the delivery attempt fails, the parcel will be automatically redirected to the nearest MyPack pickup point, where it will be stored for seven (7) calendar days. If the client does not pick up the parcel, it will be returned to the sender.
If the first delivery attempt fails and the parcel was not delivered either because:
the recipient declined the parcel or
the recipient is not available at the address indicated on the package label,
the parcel will be returned to the sender immediately.
The parcel will be automatically redirected to the nearest MyPack pickup point. If the parcel weighs more than 20 kg or it is more than 300 cm in circumference, it will not be delivered to a Mypack pickup point, but the recipient can pick it up at the depot.
The recipient cannot choose or redirect the parcel to be delivered to a street address. Parcels will be held at the MyPack pickup point for seven (7) calendar days. The recipient is sent a notification about the arrival of the parcel at the pickup point. If the client does not pick up the parcel, it will be returned to the sender.
Parcel deliveries to private individuals by DPD Privat
Once the parcel arrives at the main depot in Sweden, the recipient will be notified via the Postnord app (also e-mail depending on the details available in the database) of the date and time frame of arrival of the parcel and is offered to change the time or mode of delivery if needed (redirection to a pickup point or delivery to an agreed place). If the customer does not respond, the parcel will be delivered to the customer’s address at the time indicated in the notification and will be left there without asking for a signature.
If the recipient chooses the delivery time, the parcel will be dispatched for delivery. If the first delivery attempt fails, the parcel will be redirected to the recipient’s nearest MyPack pickup point, where it will be stored for seven (7) calendar days. If the client does not pick up the parcel, it will be returned to the sender.
If the first delivery attempt fails and the parcel was not delivered either because:
the recipient declined the parcel or
the recipient is not available at the address indicated on the package label,
the parcel will be returned to the sender immediately.

Deliveries to places with restricted access
When shipping to a place with restricted access, parcels can only be sent to the nearest Pickup parcel lockers and pickup points and cannot be delivered to a street address. A list of Swedish postcodes where no courier service is provided is available HERE.
Pallets
One attempt will be made to deliver pallet shipments. If the attempt fails, the recipient can pick up the pallet at the distribution centre or agree on a new delivery time for a surcharge. The shipment will be stored at the distribution centre for seven (7) calendar days. If the client does not pick up the pallet, it will be returned to the sender.
If the recipient chooses a delivery time from the fifth calendar day after receiving the notification, a surcharge of SEK 192 (≈ €18) per day will be added to the sender’s invoice
Before shipping to Norway, please note that the sender and the recipient should agree on who will pay the customs duty and VAT in the country of destination. DPD cannot be held liable for the formalisation of customs documents or the accuracy and adequacy of the data given therein, or for the payment of customs duties or VAT. If the representative at DPD has paid the customs duties and/or VAT on behalf of the recipient and the recipient fails to perform their obligations to DPD, DPD has the right to demand that the sender pay the amount unpaid by the recipient. Parcel deliveries to businesses by DPD Classic

Parcel deliveries to private individuals by DPD Private
When using DPD Private, your parcel will be delivered to the recipient’s door or mailbox without asking for the recipient’s signature. Once the parcel arrives at the destination depot in Norway, the recipient will be sent an SMS and/or e-mail (depending on which details are available in the database) informing them of the delivery date. The recipient can choose between the following places of delivery: placing the parcel behind the house, in a storage box in the garden, in a garage or in a place specified by the recipient. After delivery, the recipient will be sent a notification of when and where the parcel was delivered. If the courier does not consider it reasonable to deliver the parcel to the recipient’s address without obtaining a signature (e.g. in the case of an apartment building), the parcel will be delivered to the nearest MyPack pickup point, where it will be stored for seven (7) calendar days. If the client does not pick up the parcel, it will be returned to the sender.
The recipient’s phone number must be a local number to receive an SMS notification. SMS notifications will not be sent to an Estonian phone number.
When sending goods outside the EU, it is necessary to arrange customs formalities for the goods.
Parcel deliveries to businesses by DPD Classic
Once the parcel reaches the destination depot in Denmark, the recipient will be sent an SMS and/or e-mail informing them of the parcel’s arrival. The recipient can request that the parcel be delivered to an agreed-upon place. One attempt will be made to deliver the parcel.
In the event of a failed delivery attempt of a parcel weighing less than 20 kg, it will be redirected to the recipient’s nearest myPack pickup point.
In the event of a failed delivery attempt of a parcel weighing more than 20 kg, the courier will deliver it to the street address, if possible, without obtaining a signature. If this is impossible, the parcel will be stored at the distribution centre, where the recipient can pick it up. The storage period is seven (7) calendar days. If the client does not pick up the parcel, it will be returned to the sender.
Parcel deliveries to private individuals by DPD Private
Once the parcel reaches the destination depot in Denmark, the recipient will be sent an SMS and/or e-mail informing them of the parcel’s arrival. The recipient is given an opportunity to change the method of delivery: redirection to a Mypack pickup point, delivery to an agreed-upon place (without the recipient’s signature) or delivery to a neighbour’s address. If the client does not pick up the parcel, it will be returned to the sender.
