Packaging and labelling the parcel as required helps ensure that the parcels arrive affordably, on time and undamaged.
A parcel may travel long distances during the transportation chain and come into contact with various influences (other consignments, sorting lines, lifts etc.). Suitable packaging materials and methods are the best solution to protect the parcel against all external influences.
Before sending a parcel, please read the DPD instructions for packaging!
In choosing the outer packaging, make sure that it is in good condition and durable.
The size and material of the packaging must correspond to the contents.
Please remember that the original packaging of goods is not meant for transportation and needs an additional layer of packaging.
Green packaging tip! Instead of plastic film use tape or packaging straps to secure the outer packaging.
The empty space between the goods and the box must be filled with special filling material on every side, so that the transportation packaging would not lose its shape and the goods would not move around in the package.
The goods must not come into contact with the transportation packaging.
For inner packaging use bubble wrap, shredded paper, corrugated paperboard, inflatable packaging airbags etc.
Green packaging tip! Reuse egg cartons, towels, crumpled newspaper etc. as packaging material.

Choose a strong outer packaging of exactly the right size.
Use enough filling material.
Make sure that the goods are tightly secured in the packaging, do not move around or touch other items.
Mark the fragile item with a red glass label. Remember, the glass label alone does not protect your consignment – be especially careful when packaging it.
A parcel must be marked with a DPD parcel label. The parcel label must have the sender's and recipient's contact details.
The parcel label must be attached on top of the parcel.
All old labels must be removed from the parcel!
Are you posting more than one parcel? Make sure that each of them has its own parcel label.
If needed, use additional stickers to label the goods: a "Fragile" label or "This way up" label. Attention! Additional stickers must be printed in colour.

Before putting a parcel in the parcel locker or handing it over to the courier, make sure that the parcel's measurements correspond to the parcel size and service you purchased.
Parcel sizes for parcel lockers can be seen here.
The maximum weight of a courier parcel is 31.5 kg and the maximum circumference is 300 cm. The longest side of the parcel may be up to 175 cm.
Individually packaged tyres can be posted to Finland, Sweden, Denmark and Norway. Using plastic wrap is not permitted.
Tyres packaged individually or in pairs can be posted in Estonia and elsewhere in Europe. Using shrink wrap, or as a last resort, packaging film, is permitted.

Please remember, parcel labels cannot be attached on the tyre directly. Make sure that the parcel label is straight.

The pallet must be in the correct size and the goods cannot stick out over the sides of the pallet.
Make sure that the goods placed on the pallet are correctly secured (in plastic film or with packaging straps)!
