Geopost: Steady growth thanks to strong performance in out-of-home and international delivery

Aschaffenburg, March 17th, 2025 – Geopost, the French parent company of DPD Deutschland GmbH (DPD Germany), continued its steady growth last year and achieved a turnover of 15.8 billion euros (+1%) in 2024. The number of parcels delivered worldwide grew by 2.3% to 2.1 billion parcels. This confirms Geopost's leading position in the B2B sector in Europe and strengthens its position in the Business to Customer (B2C) sector.

Geopost's operating profit amounted to 614 million euros, an increase of 284 million euros compared to 2023. The four main European markets (Germany, United Kingdom, France and Italy) accounted for 68% of total sales in 2024, with growth in France (+4%) and Germany (+1.5%). Some countries recorded strong sales growth, particularly Poland (+18.3%), Portugal (+12.0%) and Ireland (+9.0%).

Out-of-home (OOH) delivery, which is a strategic pillar and a key growth driver for Geopost, developed particularly strongly. In 2024, the volume of out-of-home deliveries increased by 25% as Geopost systematically expanded its capacities and set up 97,000 parcel shops and 31,000 parcel stations across Europe by the end of 2024. International shipping also increased noticeably. Cross-border parcel volumes within Europe grew by 6.7% compared to the previous year.

Despite a difficult and uncertain environment characterised by strong pressure on margins, we have chosen a path of profitable growth and rigorous cost management. In this context, we have strengthened our hybrid model by maintaining a balanced share of B2B and B2C sales and benefiting from the dynamic growth of our strategic segments Out-of-Home, International and Food Services. In 2024, we further accelerated our growth by significantly expanding our parcel station network and cross-border out-of-home connectivity in Europe. Thanks to our densest network in Europe, we now offer the most comprehensive range of door-to-door and out-of-home services.
