Aschaffenburg, March 11th, 2025 – The international parcel and express service provider DPD and the textile retailer NKD are celebrating the 10th anniversary of their successful cooperation. NKD has been operating Pickup parcel shops in over 1,300 shops throughout Germany for a decade now. In total, almost 20 million DPD parcels have been sent and received via NKD shops since the start of the co-operation. Many people benefit from the availability of Pickup parcelshops in NKD shops, particularly in rural and medium-sized urban areas.
We are delighted to be celebrating this great anniversary together with our long-standing partner NKD. For ten years we have been able to offer our customers an even more flexible range of services and a denser parcel shop network with the NKD branches. In addition to Germany, NKD also operates DPD parcel shops in Austria, Italy and the Czech Republic. Customers can not only post parcels for dispatch in the Pickup parcelshops, but are also increasingly using the locations as pick-up points for their parcels. The NKD branches are also important points of contact for posting returns.

Attractive anniversary measures for employees and customers
To celebrate the 10-year partnership in a fitting manner and to thank its employees for their commitment, DPD is launching a competition for staff in the German NKD shops. DPD and NKD customers can look forward to a competition on NKD's social media channels.
Strengthening the out-of-home strategy
According to the latest e-shopper barometer, 44% of regular e-shoppers decide in favour of using out-of-home delivery solutions. With the growth of e-commerce and the challenges of the last mile in city centres, the importance of this delivery method is constantly increasing. In order to offer its customers flexible and convenient parcel shipping solutions, DPD is increasingly focussing on the expansion of out-of-home delivery.
