What parcels do I have to pick up from the parcel shop?

  • 31.5 kg maximum weight

Why is the handshake so important?

The handshake regulates the transfer of risk between the delivery driver and the parcel shop. The handshake on delivery also triggers a pickup notification to the consignee by email.

Why does the parcel shop operator have to carry out the handshake himself/herself?

The handshake regulates the transfer of risk between you and the parcel shop. The handshake therefore defines who has the responsibility for the parcel.

What happens if I don\'t leave a parcel notification card?

Many parcels are sent without the email address of the consignee. This means that we have no possibility of informing the consignee about the whereabouts of his/her parcel. Parcels that are redirected without a parcel notification card often do not reach their consignee.

What happens if parcels do not reach the consignee?

A \"system return\" is triggered. This means that the parcel was sent in vain and is returned to the shipper. And that happens quite often! System returns cause annoyance for consignees, shippers and finally for our parcel shop partners as well.

How do I recognise parcels with a mobile parcel label?

The barcode looks exactly like the barcode on multicarrier parcels! The address data is stored in the parcel shop barcode. Please make sure to scan! The actual parcel label is generated during inbound-from-consignor scanning at the depot.

What do I do with pickup authorisations that the parcel shop gives me?

Please hand in the pickup authorisations at the depot for archiving.

What is an Exchange Service parcel?

In the case of Exchange Service parcels, the shipper gives the order to deliver a parcel only if the consignee exchanges the contents of the delivered parcel for those of another parcel. We offer this service for our customer Würth, for example.

For more information on the standard procedure of the Exchange Service, please refer to the "Prozessfibel" (Chapter 8.1.8 Sonderbehandlung produktbezogener Zustellung > Austauschpaket). Information on delivery problems with exchange parcels can be found in the "Prozessfibel" (Chapter 8.1.10 Sonderbehandlung Zustellhindernisse).
