The main principles of packaging

Maximum dimensions 

  • Max. weight of domestic parcels and parcels to Slovakia: 31,5 kg
  • Max. weight of Express parcels: 31.5 kg
  • Max. weight of international parcels: 31.5 kg
  • Max. length (longest side): 175 cm
  • Max. circumference (2x width + 2x height + length): 300 cm
  • Dimensions of parcels delivered to Pickup points: max. weight 20 kg, max. length of the longest side 100 cm, max. circumference 250 cm

Package based on the parcel weight

  • The package should be in line with the parcel weight in order to protect it during transportation.

Roller conveyor

  • A parcel must be suitable for automatic sorting process and roller conveyors.

  • It must be packed in a sturdy material in order to withstand a fall from 80 cm.

Parcels tied together

  • Parcels tied together cannot be accepted for transportation.

Unique packaging

  • All covers and openings in the packaging should be firmly and visibly secured to prevent their spontaneous opening.
  • Unique packaging can be ensured by using the company labelled tapes.

How to fill in free space inside the packaging

  • Fill in free space between the content and the packaging to maximize the protection of your parcel content.
  • The following internal packaging is recommended: foam sheeting, plastic sheeting, encapsulated-air plastic sheeting or bubble wrap.

Securing and stuffing parcel

  • Secure and stuff the parcel inside so that it sustains 5x the static load of its own weight at minimum.

Stable position

  • When packing your parcel, bear in mind that it will be transported in its most stable position.

Repeated used boxes

  • If you use cardboard boxes repeatedly, do not forget to remove all outdated labels to prevent misrouting of your parcel.

Handling labels

  • You can stick handling labels on your parcel if necessary.

  • Handling labels do not replace quality packaging and stuffing.

  • Place a label “Fragile” on the top of the parcel and “This side up” on its side.
