Every business needs a functioning team to help it succeed. That is precisely why the well-being of our employees is so important to us. We place great emphasis on good communication and satisfactory working conditions, including between departments such as the depots and our contractual partners. To ensure the right level of satisfaction, we and our contractual partners carry out regular audits and anonymous employee surveys.
The following is a brief insight into the world of DPD Switzerland and how good working conditions shape our daily lives.
At DPD, we place great value on a warm welcome!
What does that mean?
All new employees are invited to our New Talents Day, which takes place on a Saturday (paid working time) and officially begins with a warm welcome from a member of the management team.
On this day, new employees also learn how to provide first aid and experience what real team building means through various workshops.
All this takes place in an enjoyable and relaxed setting.
Every employee has a voice – and together we are a strong team.
We value open communication and mutual respect, so everyone’s opinion is important to us.
At DPD and our contractual partners, we conduct regular employee surveys by independent companies; the surveys are anonymous to encourage honest feedback.
Our anonymous employee surveys show top scores and a high level of satisfaction that are well above the European average. Open communication and respectful interaction are key elements of our corporate culture.
Regular audits ensure that we meet our high standards of quality and compliance while protecting our drivers and providing superior service quality.
An overview:
* SMETA (Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit) ist ein von Sedex entwickeltes Verfahren für Audits im ethischen Handel mit Fokus auf Arbeitsbedingungen und ist weltweit anerkannt.
The health of our employees is a top priority for us.
For three years now, we have been a proud sponsor of the SwissCityMarathon in Lucerne as part of our active involvement in promoting good health.
With the launch of our DPD Pacemaker community in 2025, we are taking this commitment to the next level. At the same time, we are extending our sponsorship to three other running events.
Our aim is to encourage our employees and their families and friends to take part in different distances and events and to have a great time doing so.
Another benefit is that DPD will pay the entry fee for everyone in the community who takes part.
DPD was formed through the merger of a number of medium-sized companies and remains to this day based on a spirit of entrepreneurship, with flexibility and proximity to its customers. We can look back on long-term business partnerships with our approximately 65 contract partners. The contractual partner model has been a key factor in DPD’s success for over 25 years and will continue to be an important pillar in the future.
This video explains our contractual partner model in a simple way, from contract conclusion to day-to-day operations.
