Interview with Lutfi

1. How long have you been part of the DPD team?

I have been with DPD since 1 August 2021.

2. What is your job at DPD and what makes it special for you?

I am responsible for the administrative safeguarding and rolling out of new contracts to subcontractors and all associated PUD processes.

3. How do you motivate yourself to come to work every day and how does this contribute to your job satisfaction at DPD?

My motivation to come to work every day comes from the feeling of belonging at DPD. For me, it’s more than just a job – here I feel like part of a big family. The appreciation I receive from my colleagues and superiors is a significant factor in my job satisfaction. This is also the reason why I always promote DPD to friends and family and emphasise how great it is here! 😊

4. To what extent does the success of your tasks depend on collaboration with different departments or teams within DPD?

It is very important because it shapes my day-to-day work. I am in contact with various stakeholders, be it the depots throughout Switzerland, the Operations management team, the subcontractors or the sales and marketing team. Nevertheless, the most important thing for me is our PUD team and, above all, my superior Zenel, who also mentors me and teaches me what he knows to help me develop.

5. Describe yourself with three characteristics.

I would say that I am very friendly, helpful and determined, both privately and professionally, but you would have to ask the people around me to paint the most accurate picture.

6. How do you most like to spend your free time?

I like to spend my free time with football and friends. I’m also involved in my family’s sports car hire business. I especially like to help out there on weekends.

7. Do you have professional and personal goals that you absolutely want to achieve?

My main goal is to successfully complete my business studies. That will take another 1.5 years. After that, I would like to continue applying what I learned from my studies at DPD and develop further over many years. 😊
