Interview with Bedri
1. How long have you been with DPD?
For ten years now.
2. How has your professional career at DPD developed and what milestones have you reached?
When I first joined DPD, I started out as a warehouse worker. Within a short space of time, I took over the position of Logistics Coordinator in Depot 610, still in Kaiseraugst at the time.
In 2018, I was promoted to Quality Specialist and was responsible for delivery quality, conducted driver training, reviewed delivery processes and corrected scans in cases of discrepancies. This made a significant contribution to ensuring smooth and error-free delivery.
This role has given me the opportunity to deepen my understanding of operational processes and actively contribute to improving service quality.
In 2020, I joined Remo’s team as a Depot Application IT Specialist, where I supported drivers who were having technical issues with their mobile data units and tested new features.
I have been Head of Hub at Depot 610 Möhlin since October 2023, where I am responsible for managing the hub, optimising processes and ensuring delivery quality. This position gives me the opportunity to use my previous experience in quality assurance and the IT logistics application to successfully lead the team and further increase efficiency.
In summary, I have not only been able to develop professionally, but also personally over the years. Working at DPD has given me the opportunity to work in different teams, develop my leadership skills and gain valuable experience in dealing with customers, team leadership etc.
3. What special moments or experiences have you had at DPD that you particularly remember?
In 2019, I was brought up on stage at the warm-up party together with a few other employees. We were honoured for having done an extraordinary amount of work. It was a proud moment that acknowledged our efforts and commitment and showed us all that hard work is recognised and appreciated.
4. What motivates you to do your job at DPD every day?
What motivates me is that you can achieve a lot at DPD if you work hard – the best example is Zenel. The best thing about it is that you are offered the opportunity to continuously develop and take on new challenges.
5. Is there a particular hobby or passion that inspires you and maintains balance in your life?
Playing and watching football. 😊
6. What three things are currently on your bucket list?
It is a huge dream of mine to travel to New York with my little family. The vibrant energy of that city, the iconic sights and the opportunity to experience unforgettable moments together make this trip a special destination for us. Another project close to my heart is going to the Real Madrid stadium with my son to watch the legendary El Clasico match live. We would cherish this unique experience as a shared memory forever.
But the most important thing for me is to spend a lot of time with my family and make sure they have everything they need. After all, the most valuable investment you can make is to spend time together and share beautiful moments with each other.
7. If you could invite a celebrity to dinner, who would it be and why?
If I had the opportunity to invite a celebrity to dinner, it would be Cristiano Ronaldo. He is a football idol and an impressive example of what can be achieved through hard work and relentless dedication. His discipline, ambition and numerous successes are a great inspiration for me, which I apply not only in my professional life, but also in my personal life. It would be incredibly exciting to hear in his own words how he manages to stay at the top and what motivates him to keep going.
8. Which values are most important to you in life and how do you try to live them in your day-to-day life?
Respect, appreciation, gratitude and kindness are the values that are most important to me in life. I firmly believe that respect is the basis for healthy coexistence – both in private and professional life. Appreciating everyone and treating them with gratitude in my day-to-day life is key to building and maintaining relationships.
I try to live these values every day by consciously approaching my fellow human beings, listening to them attentively and being friendly with them. It is particularly important to me to remain calm and act respectfully in difficult situations, no matter how challenging the circumstances are. I express gratitude through small gestures and acknowledgement to show my fellow human beings that I appreciate their support and their work.
