Ana: ‘We had a stand on site and handed out goodies to adults and children to positively influence the mood and make our brand visible. DPD employees are also actively involved in the race as a team, which underlines our personal ties with the event and the community.’

Person in charge of the SCML: ‘Sponsors like DPD Switzerland are essential for the success and long-term existence of a sporting event such as the SwissCityMarathon – Lucerne. An event cannot be organised without sponsors who can support the organisation with their financial, material, communication and human resources.

Thanks to the partnership with DPD Switzerland, the SwissCityMarathon – Lucerne can benefit from logistics expertise and targeted services. We even get the chance to develop and implement new ideas together. Finally, appropriate communications raise awareness and reach new target groups for both sides.’

DPD: ‘Could you give us some insights into how the SwissCityMarathon – Lucerne has developed in recent years and what trends you see for the future?’
Person in charge of the SCML: ‘In recent years, the event has established itself as an integral part of the running calendar. Numerous runners from all over Switzerland take part in this autumn highlight every year. A key factor here is the creativity and innovations that always drive the event forward. This means that participants can always look forward to something new. It is also evident that the entire event is very popular and is fully booked earlier and earlier. Early registration, at least six months in advance, is a must if you want to be there. Demand is therefore steadily increasing.’

DPD: ‘What are the main objectives of the SwissCityMarathon – Lucerne and how do sponsors contribute to achieving these objectives?’
Person in charge of the SCML: ‘The main goal is to be a running event for everyone and to offer the participants an unforgettable experience. We want to get people moving and give them a goal to work towards. Furthermore, we are an attractive event not only for the participants, but also for spectators and helpers. Our partners like DPD Switzerland help us to increase the reach of the event, communicate our values and constantly improve – be it with new ideas or offers. Thanks to great partnerships, we are achieving a win-win-win situation for the participants, the partners and the event.’
