A lot happens in 30 years. And that’s how it is at DPD, too. The most important thing is the people behind the scenes, the ones working hard every day to keep things moving. We decided to get to know some of these people a little better, and you can read about it here:
1. How long have you been working at DPD?
I’ve been working at DPD for ten years and seven months now.
2. What is your job and what do you particularly like about it?
I work as a Field Sales Executive in the sales department.
Every day, I’m in touch with customers and companies who want to work with DPD.
What I particularly like about it is that I can do my job completely independently. For example, this means that I can organise myself how I want and that I get in touch with companies on a daily basis, all of which are active in very different areas. In other words, I love the variety in my job.
3. Describe DPD in three words?
Friendly, innovative, appreciative.
4. What is your favourite thing to do in your free time?
I love to travel and exercise. This includes strength training in the gym, hiking or swimming. I also love trying to cook new things in the kitchen and spending time with my family.
5. What must always be in your fridge?
Salted butter and ginger!
6. How important is the opinion of your family or friends?
Personally, I prefer to decide alone, make my own decisions and then be ready to say what I am doing or what decisions I have made. Nevertheless, I also like to hear advice from my family or friends, because sometimes it’s helpful to hear things from more than one perspective.
7. Is there anything you would want to do again?
I would really like to go on a trip around the world or a trip lasting several months.
8. Is there someone who inspires you and if so, why?
There’s someone I admire very much: Leonardo da Vinci. I think this man was a visionary of his time.
9. What don’t you like at all?
I don’t like conflict, violence, war and stress.
10. What’s your fondest childhood memory?
I don’t have a specific favourite memory from my childhood.
I would say that the best memories I have are simple and happy moments with my grandparents, parents, brother and sister.
