As finance business partner operations, you will primarily support the Operations department by providing financial insights, analysis, and guidance to drive effective decision-making. You will collaborate closely with our Chief Operations Officer and his operational leaders to develop and implement financial strategies, optimize operational performance, and achieve key business objectives.
What will you do in this role?
You develop and maintain financial forecasts, budgets and business plans in collaboration with the operational teams.
You conduct variance analyses to track actual performance against budgets, adding value by providing meaningful explanations for the deviations.
You support risk assessment and strategic decision-making by providing accurate and timely financial analysis and reporting, conducting scenario analysis and sensitivity analysis.
You provide regular performance reports to management, highlighting areas of concern and recommending corrective actions.
You monitor and analyse operational costs, in collaboration with operations leaders, in order to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
You develop strategies to optimize operational expenses and implement cost control measures.
You establish KPI's for operations and track performances against the targets.
You coach an operational financial analyst, in preparation of accurate and timely financial reports (including monthly/quarterly management reports, operational dashboards and ad-hoc analyses) and in presenting financial results, forecasts and insights to operational stakeholders.
Your added value lies within the strong relationships you build with operations leaders, acting as a trusted advisor, strategic partner, financial guide and translator of financial data.
You mentor and coach members of the finance and accounting team, fostering a culture of excellence, continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
What do we expect from you?
Bachelor's or master's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Finance Business Partner or in a similar financial analysis role.
Strong understanding of financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
Proficiency in financial analysis, including cost analysis and variance reporting.
Proficient in financial reporting and analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, ERP systems).
Strong business acumen and ability to understand operational challenges and opportunities with the ability to translate financial insights into actionable recommendations.
Experience in operations
Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
English is our business language, but a strong knowledge of Dutch or French is desirable.
Headquarters in Vilvoorde, but travel required to other depots throughout Belux for proximity to our operations.
