With the new amendment to the postal law in Germany, which comes into force on January 1, 2025, there is an important change regarding the labeling of parcels with increased weight. This requirement applies to the delivery of packages within and to Germany. The labeling, which will be mandatory on January 1, 2025, classifies heavy packages into two weight classes: > 10 kg and > 20 kg. This marking on the packages is necessary to ensure the legally required occupational safety of the employees of parcel service providers.
